Really not sure what to say about this book. In doing forensic work myself, it strikes me as odd that an individual who is mentally incompetent to the point that they are unable to stand trial, would have the wherewithal to read and understand this book, let alone seek it out and find it. Perhaps it could be used as a resource for attorneys and others with outreach interests to assist individuals found incompetent, but in my experience, most individuals found incompetent are suffering form a psychiatric illness to the extent that they are unlikely to get much out of reading this. Perhaps this could be geared for those with TBIs or intellectual disabilities? Anyway, pretty low utility for something like this and reads at a level too high for most defendants, in my opinion.
I actually expected a more "in-depth" package of information. The "courtroom" scenario includes "barristers."

It gets right to the point, providing a practical overview of the court system, as well as activities designed to help defendants become competent. Written by an expert forensic psychologist, it covers important key points, but at the same time avoids complicated jargon and unnecessary fluff, making it a clear winner.
